Autumn is a wonderful time to drink some of Earth’s friendly digestive, calming. antibacterial/antiviral herbs! Digest all that is changing in the world around you while also preventing bacteria and viruses from overwhelming your system.
Peppermint (Mentha piperita), Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis), Catnip (Nepeta cataria), Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum), Fennel seed (Feoniculum vulgare) – herbs many of us have in our cupboards can help with protecting your immune system. If you are feeling the winter blues and take no medications at all a cup of St John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) tea as dusk is swiftly turning to night is a wonderful way to uplift and help you complete the day. For some Vitamin C collect some Rose Hips (Rosa canina) from your favorite sea side rose bush, pull off the stems and brew them up – making sure to strain the liquid before drinking as these are fairly seedy and hairy inside.
